BIO:

Tom is a landscape painter working primarily in watercolor. He’s drawn to remote and rural locations with dilapidated structures such as old barns and outbuildings.

His work has been juried into several prestigious exhibits and plein air events around the country.

Tom is a native of Colorado, and presently resides in Fairview, TX., but his Colorado roots are deep. He owns property near Salida on the Arkansas River, where it’s not uncommon to find him fly fishing.

When asked about moving to Texas, he jokes, “If I’d known that Texans don’t have a clue what green chili is, we’d never left!”

ARTIST STATEMENT:

I get a lot of enjoyment and satisfaction from painting what appeals to me and holds my attention, it’s more about the process than the end result. If it resonates with the viewer, all the better.
